Board of Regents Policy: Physical Plant - Section 1003.7

This authority request is for an amount greater than $150,000, which requires the following additional information:

(a) Project Description:

The scope of this project includes leasing and renovation of additional space within the College of Business to support and assist economic as well as small business entrepreneurial development activities. These activities will complement the Entrepreneur Center, the Center for Business Enterprise, and the Applied Economic Research Center currently housed in the College of Business Building.

(b) Cost Estimate:

Professional Fees - $40,000

Construction - $660,000

Equipment & Furnishings - $100,000

Lease - $400,000 (by University of Foundation Space for the period of October 1, 2001 B September 30, 2005)

This project will be financed with federal (VA-HUD-Independent Agencies Appropriations Act for FY 2001) funds.

(c) Programs served, enrollment data, projected enrollments:

The leasing of this space and the renovations will allow for expanded economic development programs and activities sponsored by the College of Business and the University.

(d) Space Utilization Data:

(Space utilization data is still under development by the Montana University B System Facilities Services Directors.)

(e) Projected use for available residual space:

(Not applicable to this authority request)

(f) Projected O&M Costs and proposed funding sources:

Projected O&M costs will be included in the proposed lease with federal funds.
