ITEM 118-1001-R0103  Increase in Authorization for Improvement and Replacement of Parking Lot, Lommasson Center; The University of Montana-Missoula

THAT: Consistent with the provisions of MCA 18-2-102, the Board of Regents of Higher Education authorizes The University of Montana-Missoula to increase the project budget to improve and replace the parking lot at the Lommasson Center. This original request for authority was in the amount of $175,000. Due to unforeseen site conditions, it is necessary to increase the project authority to $205,000.

EXPLANATION: The project has gone over budget due to unforeseen site conditions. Additional excavation was necessary to remove soils that were unsuitable for the construction of this lot, and improvements were made to adjacent concrete walks and curbs.
