Policy 705.4, Annual Commissioner's Performance Review, requires an assessment of the Commissioner's performance which usually begins in March of each year with a formal report given to the board at the May meeting. The board recently hired Dr. Krause as an Interim Commissioner for approximately six months. Since his responsibilities began in February, 2003, I recommend the board consider suspending the evaluation of Interim Commissioner Krause as required in Policy 705.4.

Requested motion: Move the Board of Regents suspend the evaluation of Interim Commissioner Krause as required by Policy 705.4.

Policy 705.2 requires the evaluation of the Presidents by the Commissioner and a report be given to the board. I recommend Interim Commissioner Krause proceed with these evaluations as specified in Policy 705.2.
